About Me
Hello and a warm welcome to Olive Tree Counselling. My name is Samina, and I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist with over 15 years of extensive experience in providing therapeutic support and counselling services. My practice is dedicated to assisting professionals and people from all walks of life, in achieving their personal and professional goals while equipping them with effective coping mechanisms to navigate the challenges of everyday life.
Whether you’re seeking remote sessions via Skype, Zoom, or Google Meet, or prefer in-person consultations at my London-based practice in Hounslow, I am committed to providing flexible and accessible support tailored to your individual needs. Sessions are meticulously designed to accommodate your schedule, with availability starting as early as 8:00 AM, ensuring convenience and consistency in your therapeutic journey.

Assessment and Goal Setting Stage
This stage focuses on collaboratively exploring your concerns in greater depth, establishing goals, and formulating a treatment plan. The key components include:
In-depth Assessment: Engagement in discussions to delve deeper into your concerns, history, relationships, and other factors influencing your well-being.
Goal Identification: Together we will define specific and measurable goals for therapy. These goals should be aligned with your aspirations and serve as a guide for the treatment process.
Therapy Stage
This stage involves participating in therapy sessions and working towards achieving your goals. Key elements include:
Active Engagement: Attend sessions regularly, engage in the therapeutic process. Explore and process underlying emotions, traumas and unresolved issues contributing to your difficulties. I will provide guidance based on our agreed-upon treatment plan.
Skill Development: Learn and practice coping strategies, self-reflection techniques, and other tools provided by myself to address your concerns and work towards positive change.
Closure and Post-Therapy Stage
This final stage focuses on consolidating progress, preparing for therapy termination, and ensuring continued growth and well-being, through:
Closure Planning: Collaboratively discuss and plan the closure of therapy. Address any remaining goals or concerns and establish a timeline for ending regular sessions.
Transitioning and Closure: Gradually decrease the frequency of therapy sessions while maintaining progress and integrating learned skills into your daily life. Use this time to reflect on the therapeutic journey, acknowledge achievements, and address any remaining questions or concerns.
Post-Therapy Support: Depending on your needs, you may arrange for periodic follow-up sessions.
